Description
The tactile paving brick is a special road facility designed for the safe travel of the visually impaired. It transmits navigation and warning information through the tactile bulge on its surface. This facility was invented by Japanese inventor Seiichi Miyake in 1965 and first laid in Okayama, Japan in 1967. It is mainly divided into walking tactile paving bricks (strip protrusions, guiding straight) and reminding tactile paving bricks (dot protrusions, reminding obstacles, turns or steps, etc.). Common materials include ceramics, concrete, rubber, stainless steel, etc.
