Low poly game ready 3D model of the cavalry sabre wielded by the Grenadiers à Cheval of the Maison du Roi, the elite guard of the French monarchy prior to the Revolution. Created in the late 17th century, this unit combined the physical strength of grenadiers with the mobility of cavalry—armed with this formidable curved sabre designed for shock combat.
Sabre of grenadiers were distinguished by a heavily curved single-edged blade, ideal for slashing in cavalry engagements.
This fine pattern features a simple stirrup brass hilt and a curved steel blade with fuller, wich is engraved on the reverse side with a flaming grenade, the inscription "grenadier à cheval", then another grenade. On the obverse there is a grenade, then the motto "undique terror undique letum", then the royal arms and "LE ROY", who was nominally the owner of this company.
