This precious frame is a superb example of traditional Florentine craftsmanship. It was hand decorated with the graffito technique in which the wood is first gilded with real gold leaf and then covered in black paint. The decoration that adorns the corners and sides of the piece is obtained by scraping the final coat to allow the gold to come to the surface. This classically inspired object will complement a traditional home and can be a wonderful gift. It can be made in any measure and color.
