Ghost in the Shell MSDF Type 303 Armored Suit
Features in GITS SAC 1st Gig Episode 21 (Eraser) used by the ********s Suppression Squad, Episode 24 (Annihilation) used by the Umibozu, Episode 25 (Barrage) used by the Umibozu, and in the Tachikoma Files.
According to Ghost in the Shell Fandom Wiki:
'The 303 Mech Suit is used by the Japanese Coast Guard and Navy. The suit is equipped with one 20mm Machine Cannon and one 40mm Grenade Launcher. This 303 is the premier model in service in the GSDF and found circulation throughout the globe. It’s weapons are hand held and, as a result, can be swapped with relative ease. The suit is controlled from direct physical input through mimicking identical appendages the pilot's arm goes through. These smaller appendages have hands as well and the “strings” can be cut from the arms to control just the small master ones. There is no strength bonus to the smaller masters. The suit also has therm-optic camo.'
Included:
3MF files in native and generic formats for separate parts and posed single print model
.STEP files of source objects
.STL files of posed objects
Renders and Animations
The model articulated with same degree of freedom as seen in animated tv series, excluding the hands which are in a fixed pose.
On my Bambu P1P at 0.12mm layer height the total print time was approx. 14h.
The example print was finished using sanding then a clear matte top coat with additional details painted on top.
In the 3MF files the weapon is included in 2 formats: firstly just the weapon on its own and another with the weapon combined with the right hand (to allow secure attachment to model)
The model is created using solid modeling vector graphics so is infinitely scalable using the included .STEP files. If you want a larger model or higher mesh resolution just import the .STEP files into your slicers and choose the resolution you require.
