low-poly tree designed after an american hornbeam (carpinus caroliniana) modeled in maya 2013. this tree is modeled to scale at 6.68 meters, sized after those typically found in city or urban settings.

model is fully uv'ed and textured, and care has been taken to keep the poly count as low as possible while still maintaining a balance ***ween performance and accuracy.

this model has been organized to ensure users can easily modify the branch count and form to their liking. everything follows a simple naming convention, and based on model format sections of the tree been placed in appropriate parent hierarchies grouped by leaf/branch types, as well as being layered and color-coded for easy distinction.

pivots have been placed appropriately, transformations have been frozen and tree01 has been centered at the grid origin. model comes render-ready (mental ray plug-in required) in .ma and .mb formats with both styles of tree set up, as shown in the item renders.

textures provided are 1024x1024, and include a summer and autumn-colored texture, both in .png and .tga formats with alpha channels.
