Printer Requirement: This version is slightly larger and requires a printer with a build volume greater than 300x300x300 mm. Please ensure your machine can accommodate the larger base part before printing.

Printing Recommendations

This model is optimized for FDM printing. For the best results, here are our material and setting suggestions:

The Flame Lampshade (The most important part!):

The material you choose for the flame will dramatically change the lamp's effect.

For a Warm, Diffused Glow: Use a translucent or transparent PETG or PLA. Natural, white, or light-yellow colors work best as a base for colored LED lights.

For a Colored Flame Effect: Print with translucent Orange, Red, or even Pink PLA/PETG. This will give the flame its own color, even with a simple white light inside.

For a Frosted, Soft Look: A standard White PLA will create a beautiful, diffused effect, hiding the light source and creating a soft, warm ambiance.

Pro-Tip: Consider printing the lampshade in "Vase Mode" (or "Spiralize Outer Contour" in Cura) with a slightly thicker wall/line width for a seamless, beautiful finish.

The Base (Logs, Embers & Rocks):

Logs: Wood-fill PLA is the perfect choice for a realistic, textured look. Alternatively, use brown or beige PLA and consider post-processing (sanding and staining/painting) for an even more authentic feel.

Embers/Rocks: A Black, Dark Grey, or even Marble-effect PLA works wonderfully for the base. You can get creative and add dabs of red and orange paint to the ember bed after printing to simulate a glo***g effect.

Assembly & Lighting

The parts are designed to slot together easily. For the light source, we recommend using a low-heat LED, LED strip, or fairy lights. This ensures safety and prevents any risk of melting the plastic. The base is designed to be hollow to accommodate wiring and the light source of your choice.

The base is designed to accommodate standard light bulb sockets:

E14 Socket: The internal cavity of the log base is sized to fit a standard E14 lamp holder and a corresponding E14 LED bulb.

E27 Socket: An E27 socket can also be used, provided you choose a slim or narrow E27 LED bulb to ensure it fits comfortably within the flame lampshade without touching the sides. This prevents any heat build-up and maintains the aesthetic.
