1. The Golden Throne of Tutankhamun is an extraordinary artifact that exemplifies the artistry of ancient Egypt. It is celebrated as one of the most significant and well-preserved pieces of furniture from this ancient civilization. Its vivid hues have withstood the test of time for over three thousand years, showcasing the remarkable skill of the artisans of that era.

This lavish chair is distinguished by its elaborate craftsmanship and intricate details. The throne features two lion heads that serve as guardians of the seat, while the armrests are embellished with winged uraei and rearing cobras, each adorned with the double Pschent crown of Egypt, symbolizing protection over the king's cartouche names.

Unearthed in 1922 by British archaeologist Howard Carter, the golden throne was located beneath a hippopotamus funerary bed in the antechamber of Tutankhamun's tomb.
