detailed model of belgian scar rifle from fn herstal. this is a mark 17 version in 7.62 mm caliber. all parts grouped and pivoted for easier operation. high resolution bump maps included.
the previews are rendered with mental ray 3.5. setup included. separately, low poly version in max also included, with 9.108 polygons for the rifle.
object is smoothed with meshmooth, so it can be adjusted for lower of higher resolution. the rifle is in actual dimensions.

the scar rifle system achieves complete ergonomic compatibility along with 99% parts commonality between platforms in the same caliber. the scar enhances individual officer effectiveness and simplifies mission capabilities, logistic support, reduces training time and minimizes armorer service downtime. the scar's free floating barrels are quickly interchangeable by loosening six captive screws. all major windage and elevation adjustments are made at the permanently-attached front sight. both us government and manufacturer??рівђћсћs testing prove that when a scar barrel is removed and then reinstalled, it will return within one minute of angle (1 moa) to the previously established zero.
