PFM-1 is an anti-personnel high-explosive mine of pressure action, the analogue of which is the American mine BLU-43 "Dragontooth" ("dragon's tooth"). The Soviet Petal is almost identical to its American counterpart, which was not officially adopted by the United States, but was actively used in the Vietnam War.
