3d printed 2-speed transmission gearbox with remote shifting, with telescopic driveshafts for land rover defender 1/10 rc car - hb toys zp1001

hb toys zp1001 has final gear ratio 14.4:1, it doesn't have a gearbox. therefore, the model can't drive slowly and smoothly, which is necessary for the crawler.

it was decided to make a 2-speed transmission, according to the principle of gearbox at traxxas trx-4. the transmission has remote shifting. based on the model dimensions, the following final gear ratios were selected: 1st gear - 14.4:1 2nd gear - 54.4:1

land rover defender 1/10 rc car - hb toys zp1001 (zp1002) - a simplified copy of the land rover defender traxxas trx4 defender.

you can use plastic - pla, nozzle diameter 0.2mm, layer height 0.1mm for gears and nozzle diameter 0.4mm, layer height 0.2mm for others part, or use your own settings.

added necessary:

servo 5g (example k989-58) or similar size with rocker (example k989-27) - 1 piece
*or you can remake the mount for any servo

shaft diameter 3mm, length 78mm - 1 piece
shaft diameter 3mm, length 58.5mm - 1 piece
shaft diameter 1.6mm, length ~29mm - 2 piece
shaft diameter 1.6mm, length ~10mm (propeller shaft cross) - 4 piece
shaft diameter 1.6mm, length ~4,5mm (propeller shaft cross) - 4 piece
*it's can be made from a nail of the appropriate diameter by cutting it to the desired length.

bearing 3x10x4 inside diameter 3mm, outside diameter 10mm, width 4mm - 4 pieces

m4 grub hex screws - 2 pieces
m2.5x8 button head self tapping screws - 9 pieces
m2x6 screws (for servo fix) - 3 pieces
*or you can replace it m2.5, or similar
the screws securing the gearbox to the case and the screws securing the engine to the gearbox are taken from the hb zp1001 model itself.
