Goro is a character from the Mortal Kombat universe created by Ed Boon and John Tobias. He first appears in the original Mortal Kombat game as a boss that challenges the player before the final fight with Shang Tsung. Prince Goro belongs to a race called the Shokan, four-armed creatures, half-human, half-dragon. For 500 years, Goro was the champion of the Mortal Kombat tournament before being defeated in the original game by future champion Liu Kang. Unlike most of the characters in the game, who were digitized models of live actors, Goro was a clay sculpture animated using puppet animation technology.
