Spider-Man (born Peter Benjamin Parker) is a superhero appearing in comic books published by Marvel Comics, created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko. Lee and Ditko conceived the character as an orphaned teenager raised by an uncle and aunt, combining the life of an ordinary student and a crime fighter.
