Spider-Man (born Peter Benjamin Parker) is a superhero appearing in comic books published by Marvel Comics, created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko. Since his first appearance in Amazing Fantasy #15 (August 1962), he has become one of the most popular superheroes. Lee and Ditko conceived the character as an orphaned teenager raised by an uncle and aunt, combining the life of an ordinary student and a crime fighter. Spider-Man received super strength, increased agility, "spider-sense", as well as the ability to stay on sheer surfaces and release webs from his hands using a device of his own invention. Venom is a 2018 American superhero film starring the Marvel Comics antihero of the same name. The role of Eddie Brock / Venom was played by Tom Hardy; The film also stars Michelle Williams, Riz Ahmed, Scott Hayes and Reid Scott. In the story, journalist Eddie Brock acquires superhuman abilities by becoming the carrier of the alien Venom symbiote, while the rest of the symbiotes plan to take over the Earth.
Venom is a character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character is a sentient alien symbiote with an amorphous, liquid-like form, who survives by bonding with a host, usually human. This dual-life form receives enhanced powers and usually refers to itself as "Venom". The symbiote was originally introduced as a living alien costume in The Amazing Spider-Man #252 (May 1984), with a full first appearance as Venom in The Amazing Spider-Man #300 (May 1988).
