pegasus is intended to be flown within the visual range of the pilot and spotter. the rear power plant pusher design keeps the nose area clear for installation of the wide angle high resolution camera. the camera located in a rotating pod allows the pilot to position the camera using a video downlink to see and line up on the field to be photographed. as the aircraft centers on the field the camera is rotated to a vertical position. once the pilot flying with the downlink sees that the field is properly framed, the shutter is activated.
