the rommel class is a 350m long space battleship. it sports seven double barrel big bore batteries to deterrent her enemies, and has a removable delta winged reentry shuttle. each part is movable separately and has its own maps. the complete model is about 45k polygon, so it's well suited for games. it uses a 8192x8192 size uv map for ship's hull (of course you can reduce this), and two smaller maps for shuttle and turrets. the model is made in lightwave 3d 9.6, but can be converted to almost any formats thanks to it's simple structure. the maps are huge enough to tolerate moderate close ups.

the model closely resembles to adam uc/igloo magellan-class warship, but expect some differences; notably textures (the rommel is more detailed), proportions, and geometry. modifications are minor, therefore if you own the full version of this model (see below), you can convert it to a magellan-class vessel. (detailed instructions are included by the full version)

there are a higher (200k and 295k) polygon version of this model, which is more suitable for animations: it has the maps in a easier editable format (lightwave only), have more types of turrets (including phalanx, ram and particle cannon type turrets). if you want to use the rommel for animations, buy the high poly version, otherwise the low poly version is for you best choice.
