Hello, today and now I will show you another 3D model from "Large set of barware". The model is called "Saucer Champagne Glass" used for champagne.
History
According to the first legend, it was the shape of Marie Antoinette's breasts that was used to create the mould for the elegant champagne glass called a crémant, aka champagne glass, aka coupe de champagne. Allegedly, King Louis XVI adored his wife so much that he literally wanted to drink champagne from her mould - it was not for nothing that she married him at the age of 14! It was said that the champagne corresponded to the size of the Queen's left breast.
According to the second legend, Marie Antoinette's great passion was champagne, which was always at court. For her tasting, the queen wished to have a customised glass made for her that would be as voluminous and low as possible. She chose her left breast as the mould, from which a cast was made. Outwardly, the product turned out to be spectacular, and champagne in it looked very beautiful, because in that era, such gl***** were used to build entire pyramids, if the kingdom organised a reception.
Of course, such a flat and wide glass is not quite suitable for champagne - sparkling bubbles leave the drink too quickly because of its large area. Narrow gl***** like the flute or tulip keep the perlage (carbon dioxide bubbles) longer. Therefore the history of the glass is divided into two branches: 1) Saucer glass - This is a champagne glass on a high stem, which even today is used to build a pyramid at festive events and such a model is published by me now, but in a new popular form, not the form of Marie Antoinette's breasts.
2) Ice Cream Glass - This is an ice cream glass, it retains the shape of Marie Antoinette's breasts but its stem is lower and more massive. This 3D model I published earlier.
Saucer Champagne Glass has other names: coupe de champagne, coupe, saucer, glass of antoinette, cremant, champagne glass, glass of champagne.
