(UNITY BUILT-IN/URP TEXTURES ONLY!)
The 2nd Video shows the arms in a Meta Quest 2 project I created using a VR arm system with ellbow correction from the Unity Asset Store.
If you watch closely you will see the display on the left forearm has real UI elements, which made interactions in the game possible.
These arms were optimized for Quest2 performance level and above!
The texturing & unwrapping was done on a single material/texture, to prevent further draw calls for mobile VR systems.
The wrist, the thumb and the pinky finger do have a special bone, for more human realism. Doesn't feel stiff!
The texture of the display is without any baked UI
Was tested and works great with the free Unity addon [VRarmsIK], which has till now the best elbow correction system ever invented. And it’s free too! However, I tested these arms with this system and it was an amazing result. The arms are not connected to a “chest” bone, to be able to switch arms in runtime. ;) You can get the Unity VRArmIK system on github: https://github.com/dabeschte/VRArmIK
The source is an FBX, however you'll find materials & prefab files inside the zip, because this is a Unity3D package! Unity3D users simply drop the whole folder structure into your project! ;)
