Beschrijving
👤 Head & Eyestalks
The front of the creature completely omits human or typical mammalian traits, dominated entirely by an imposing, circular gastropod anatomy. Erupting from the brow are four long, thick, and highly mobile eyestalks that arch upward like antennas, each terminating in a small, sensory bulb to navigate pitch-black environments. Placed dead center beneath these stalks is a colossal, perfectly round cyclostome maw. This jawless funnel is tightly ringed with concentric rows of needle-sharp, ivory teeth, with thick strands of dark, visceral fluid dripping from the lower rim like a macabre beard.
🛡️ Body Structure
The Snail-Like Chassis: The entity possesses a massive, elongated, and low-slung invertebrate frame that mimics a colossal slug or shell-less land snail. The hide is thick, fleshy, and aggressively warty, covered in deep vertical wrinkles, ridges, and clusters of porous, breathing holes puncturing its flanks. The bottom of the body forms a wide, heavily ribbed muscular foot that ripples to propel its immense weight forward across wet ground.
The Mushroom Colony: Replacing a traditional protective shell, the entire arching spine of the creature is overtaken by a massive, layered colony of Agaricus mushrooms. Dozens of wide, fleshy fungal caps stack on top of one another, forming a heavy, tiered tower that tapers toward the top. Woven between the individual stalks and under-gills are fine, web-like mycelium threads and dripping, dark fluid that pools over the creature's wrinkled skin.
✨ Material and Finish
The entity is rendered in a deeply monochromatic, desaturated bone-white, cream, and ash-gray palette, dramatically contrasted by the rich, earthy sepia and dark crimson tones of the mushroom caps and dripping fluid. The surface finish is aggressively matte, porous, and wet, flawlessly shifting between the leathery, deeply creased grain of the slug hide and the fibrous, velvety texture of the fungal caps. High-contrast, absolute shadows pool deeply inside the circular tooth-lined mouth, within the breathing vents, and between the tiered layers of the mushroom stalks, making the gastropod abomination look like a living rotting log brought to terrifying life.
(Make sure to check for any problems with the main model before printing. Most 3D printing apps will have an option to auto-fix them, if there are any, but it's also preferable to load it in a viewer or an app like blender for additional checks.
Depending on the format used there may be a few leftover non-printable polygons, but they generally don't interfere with the main model when removed, although some removal methods might discard the model's texture in order to fix it.
The thickness of the walls in the model can be adjusted automatically using a slicing or editing software if required by the printer and the chosen method.
The model has an extent between -1 and 1; you can customize its size and modify it freely. You can also reduce or increase the polygon count alongside the vertices using any app based on your specific needs.
The model doesn't contain any pre-baked or built-in support structures, so it will require manual or automated support generating with the help of slicing software in order to print correctly.
The colors may turn out a bit different from the original ones seen in the images, depending on the printer used and how it's printed.
The polygon count can be a bit more or less than the described amount depending on where it's loaded for viewing and what file will be used for the printer.
If you want to use the model in a game and animate it or modify it, you would first have to convert the topology from triangular to squared for easier editing.
The texture of the model is 8K, featuring metallic, roughness and normal PBR maps in addition to the base colors.
The zip contains STL, 3MF, OBJ, BLEND, FBX, file formats.
The 3mf has the most accurate interpretation of the base model and is preferable when printing.)
