Hello, today and now I will show you another 3D model from the "Large set of barware". The model is called " Old Fashioned Glass round" and is most frequently used for the old fashioned cocktail, but it is also used for other spirits served over ice.
History
The history of the old fashioned glass round began in the saloons of the Wild West. These establishments were always short of glassware. But empty bottles were in abundance. So they began to cut off the top of the bottle, leaving a low wall and a thick bottom. This is how the first old fashioned glasses came into existence, quickly gaining popularity.
Because of the warm climate in the United States, it is customary to serve drinks on ice. For a long time, ice in pubs represented a single block, from which the bartender would chop off pieces. Thus a second name for a whisky glass was coined: rox, meaning block, rock.
