3DExport operates an online marketplace for 3D models for download, which takes into account both classic computer graphics workflows and the special requirements of additive manufacturing. The platform was founded in 2004 and is based in San Jose, California. It was created at a time when the distribution of digital 3D content was still largely limited to studio-internal production chains and closed professional networks.
