simply slide your length of filament in the central slot, and use a pair of vernier/digital gauges to measure the diameter at the corresponding slots at the ten points at every 10mm over 100mm. then add these all together and divide by 10 to give you an accurate average of the filament diameter that you will use for the filament diameter in your calibration.
