chainsword (aka chainsword, aka pilomech)— the most common type of chain, which is nothing more than a sword equipped with a toothed chain passing along the blade, like a chainsaw. most of these swords use razor-sharp monomolecular teeth. when working, the chainsword emits an angry buzzing that develops into a high-pitched squeal when the chain begins to bite into the enemy's armor.
