In order to improve the performance of my KTM, I modified also the intake system.
I noticed, thanks to several dyno sessions, that the engine lacked a bit of lung to be able to give its full horsepower
This snorkel, compared to the original, allows the engine to draw in more air. The dimensions of intake area in 2.86 time the original intake area. If you want you can reach 4 time area carrying out n° 32 x 8mm holes as per picture in attached.
Thanks to these modifications, to a correct carburetion and some shrewdness I implemented about 1.5 hp throughout the power curve and about 7 Nm of torque.
I'm a mechanical engineer involved on CFD analysis of SBK and Moto3 combustion engines. I carried out several fluid dynamics calculations and analysis to validate the model. I will give you all the info for proper engine setup once purchased. Enjoy
