designated panzerkampfwagen 6 tiger, it was one of the most feared heavy tanks of wwii. the tiger was first used in action on 23 sept. 1942. their heavy armor and armament let them dominate in open terrain but they were never deployed in great numbers. the tiger's **mm and superior quality of german optics meant that it could destroy many of its opponents at ranges at which they could not respond. the tiger, however, was very expensive and labor intensive to produce so only 1,347 were built between 1942 to 1944. this high poly model was based on the only existing tiger 1 in running condition at the bovington museum in england.
