an automobile turbocharger, detailed model showing a cutaway view of the turbocharger.

this model is made up of 9 objects. the body is split-up into 3 parts, and the inner components of the turbocharger are split up into the compressor (centrifugal), shaft and turbine. there are three other miscellaneous models that add to the detail.

the models cut lining has been emphasized with different colored materials in-order to make the model, easily understandable; the different colors denote the temperature of air/mixture in that particular region.

the model is being offered in 4 different formats.

1) the very popular max format,
2) the wavefront obj format, and its corresponding mtl file (exported from and tested in 3ds max 7)
3) the 3ds format, which due to its popularity can be imported into almost any 3d modeling software, and
4) the lwo, lightwave object format, (tested using quick3d)
