Predator is a fictional alien race, the characters of the sci-fi films Predator of 1987, Predator 2, Alien vs. Predator, Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem, Predators, Predator of 2018 and the fan film Predator: The Dark Ages, as well as an impressive media franchise including computer games, slot machines, attractions, toys, comics, books and so on. In feature films, the alien race has no name, but in books and comics in the franchise they are called Yautja or Hish (short for the self-name of the Hish-ku-ten race according to the Dark Horse publishing house). They are known for hunting other species of creatures, including humans and Aliens, for the sake of sporting interest. In the process of hunting, Predators extract so-called trophies, which are the skulls and bones of the creatures being hunted.
