Game ready low poly grenadier cap of Pomeranian regiment, Swedish army. 1700s.
The grenadiers of the line were distinguished from the fusiliers by their headgear, which varied from regiment to regiment. Some wore a cloth mitre cap, perhaps trimmed with fur like the one illustrated, bearing on the front flap the royal monogram of crowned, opposed ‘Cs’. Others had a tall brass frontal plate; still others were made of bearskin, with a smaller brass plate. The design of the royal emblem also varied, but generally included this monogram of Charles XII and/or the Swedish royal arms.
