Description

40 ft High Cube shipping container, ISO 45G1, at real scale. Taller than the standard 40 ft box; common in port stacks and in container architecture; suits architectural visualisation.

Outside size: 12,192 mm long, 2,438 mm wide, 2,896 mm high (40 ft 0 in by 8 ft 0 in by 9 ft 6 in). Type 45G1 / 1AAA.

Mesh:
- high version: 384,247 faces and 385,620 vertices
- mid version: 72,417 faces and 73,512 vertices
- mostly quads, no n-gons, markings included in the counts

Included formats: BLEND, FBX, OBJ, USD, GLB, USDZ, 3DS, STEP and 3DM. Each one is packed in its own archive, and the textures have an archive of their own.

With animation: BLEND, FBX, USD, GLB and USDZ (plus closed and open files).

Without animation: OBJ and 3DS, closed and open.

CAD only: STEP and 3DM, closed doors, no textures.

Textures:

PBR textures (metallic / roughness, PNG, up to 4096 px): 2 states times 8 colours gives 16 looks. Colours: red oxide, forest green, maroon, ocean blue, off white, sand beige, signal orange and slate grey. Default look: red oxide, clean.

GLB, USDZ and 3DS: default look, maps up to 2048 px.

Markings:

Markings are on 3 separate objects. Remove them and you have a plain container; blank markings maps and a logo template come with it.

Doors:

The two doors are animated ('doors_open_close', 7 s, 30 fps) and the animation ends with them closed. Only the doors turn on their hinges; no other part moves.

Software:

Render engine: Blender Cycles. No plugins needed. Real size, centred, standing on the ground.

Tips for use:

- The files hold no lamps and no camera. Place a light or an HDRI and a camera first, because a render without light is black.
- Blender shows the model in Solid view on opening; Material Preview shows the textures.
- Unpack the model archive and the textures archive into one folder; the maps are linked by relative paths.
- Normal maps: OpenGL style. DirectX software needs the green channel flipped.
- OBJ import tip: Non-Color / Raw is the right setting for the metallic, roughness, normal and AO maps, as some importers read them as colour.
- 3DS is a format without PBR, so the colours look paler there.
- Plates and stickers are shiny metal and show reflections; light from the side to read their text.
- The owner code is invented and matches no real company. Worn stencils on the markings are on purpose. Clean text: blank markings maps plus the decal template.
