Description

The 73mm PG-15 rocket is a high-explosive anti-tank (HEAT) projectile designed for use with the SPG-9 recoilless weapon and mounted weapon systems such as the BMP-1's 2A28 Grom cannon. Developed by the Soviet Union, it features a fin-stabilized, rocket-assisted projectile capable of breaching armored targets, including tanks and fortified positions. The PG-15 utilizes a shaped charge warhead to maximize armor  breaching and is launched initially by a small propellant charge before its rocket motor ignites mid-flight, extending its range and velocity. Widely used in various conflicts due to its simplicity and effectiveness, the PG-15 remains in service with several armed forces and insurgent groups around the world.
