The LeMat revolver is a mid-19th-century French‑American single‑action black‑powder handgun, famed for its ingenious dual‑barrel design. It features a nine‑round revolving cylinder in .36 or .42‑caliber for conventional shots, surrounding a central smooth‑bore barrel in 16‑ to 20‑gauge for a powerful buckshot blast.
