Electromagnetic induction is the process of generating an electric current in a conductor by changing the magnetic field around it.
When a magnet is moved near a coil of wire (or vice versa), the magnetic field through the coil changes. This change in magnetic field causes electrons in the wire to move, creating an induced current.
