The Osumi is a Japanese tank landing ship. While the Japan Navy (JMSDF) describes the Osumi class as tank landing Ship (LSTs), they lack the bow doors and beaching capability traditionally associated with LSTs.Functionally, their decksk makes the Ōsumi class more like a Dock Landing Ship (LSD). The Osumi class consists of three ships, the Osumi being the first of the series and the one that gives it its name. The others are the Shimokita and the Kinisaki. The helos are included on the file
