Description

The son of Duke Leto Atreides and his concubine Lady Jessica, belonging to the Bene Gesserit Order, was born on Caladan, the ancestral planet of House Atreides.

House Atreides received the planet Arrakis from Padishah-Emperor Shaddam IV Corrino, which had previously been part of the Harkonnen domain, and Paul, along with his mother and father, went there. However, Baron Vladimir Harkonnen, unwilling to give up the rule of Arrakis, attacks the house of Atreides and captures Leto, Paul's father, but he and his mother manage to escape.

Upon arrival on Arrakis, he was perceived by the local population, the Fremen, as the Messiah (Lisan al-Gaib and Mahdi). In sietch Tabr, he adopted the names Usul and Muad'Dib. Under his command, the Fremen won the war for the planet Arrakis, defeating the Harkonnens and Emperor Shaddam IV.

After these events, Paul married the emperor's daughter, Princess Irulan, and became the emperor of the known universe, but his concubine, Chani, gave birth to his children.

He lost his eyes as a result of the use of a stone-cutter, however, being a Kwisatz Haderach, he could see what was happening in the present, past and probable future.

After the birth of his children, his heir Leto II Atreides and his twin sister, Ghanima Atreides, and the death of his concubine, Chani, Paul went into the desert and was considered dead, but later returned in the guise of a blind preacher. He was killed at the end of the book Children of Dune by the priests of his sister Alia during a speech criticizing the cult of his personality and the religion of Alia.

In the book Hunters of Dune (Dune-7) was resurrected as a ghola, in other words, was cloned.
