Description

HP47 Handheld Jammer Combined with SkyWall Autonomous Optical Tracking at NATO

As an immediate action initiative (SiE), a C-sUAS system, consisting of two portable jamming cannons and stationary sensors, was procured for the MINUSMA mission in Mali in 2017/18. According to ES&T's findings, this portable anti-drone protection equipment is a version of the HP 47 from H.P. Marketing & Consulting Wüst GmbH, designated Effektor HP 47+ by the German Armed Forces. These devices constituted only an initial supply. At the end of June 2019, following a publication of awarded contracts by the Federal Office of Bundeswehr Equipment, Information Technology and In-Service Support (BAAINBw) on the European online procurement platform TED, the company was awarded a contract for the delivery of 30 additional devices. The performance specifications of the new devices were not disclosed.
