The Type 076 Class (Yulan Class) Chinese Amphibious Assault Ship is believed to be the largest amphibious assault ship in the world and has a full-load displacement of more than 45,000 tons. The Type 076, also known by the NATO reporting name Yulan-class landing helicopter assault ship, “represents a substantial step forward in the ability of the People’s Liberation Army to project power farther from China’s shores.
