chinese steam powered torpedo

the yu-1 was the first chinese built steam powered torpedo. built in the late 1950s and based on soviet technology, the unguided, straight shooting torpedo had a range up to 9km. later in the 1980s, a passive acoustic homing unit was developed for the torpedo.
