Description

Overall Build: A predatory, six-legged insectoid with a centaur-like posture. The upper torso is upright and humanoid, while the lower body is a long, segmented abdomen supported by six thin, stilt-like legs. The silhouette is instantly threatening: wide scythes up top, needle legs below.

Body / Armor: The entire creature is encased in layered, black chitinous plates that overlap like natural scale armor. The thorax and abdomen show sharp, ridged segmentation with a glossy, beetle-like hardness. The six lower limbs are pale, bone-like, and jointed, ending in dagger points that give it an arachnid stalker feel. The contrast between the dark body and the light legs makes it look skeletal and alien.

Head / Shoulders: The head is a tall, crowned helm of chitin with a pointed crest running front to back. The face is insectoid and faceless, featuring a cluster of small, glowing white eye spots and a pair of curved mandible fangs under the chin. The shoulders are heavily armored with spiked pauldrons that flare into a mane of smaller blades around the neck.

Weapons: The primary weapons are its arms. Instead of hands, it has two enormous, single-edged scythe blades that curve upward from the forearms. They are as long as the torso, with a sharpened inner edge designed for hooking and slicing. The creature needs no other weapons.

Coloration: A stark two-tone scheme. The main carapace is deep charcoal black to near obsidian, with weathered highlights that suggest aged bone or dark metal. The six legs and the scythes are a contrasting bleached bone white, making the killing limbs stand out. The overall impression is that of a death insect, a hive assassin or a void mantis built for execution.
