Intended for 3d print.

Steampunk mobile beerhall-cum-siege gun. Suitable for War hammer or various alternate reality-themed tabletop wargames. Included in this product is a 28mm scale version of the Cannon House, and a 6mm scale version of the Cannon House. There is also a variant of the 28mm scale version with the model cut into 3 pieces, for printing in sections if the model exceeds you printer space at default scale.

Designer's Notes

The following section is information about the design process, what the idea behind the model was and why it turned out the way it did, et cetera. It is not strictly speaking something you as a customer need to know, but you may find it interesting.

The idea of the Cannon House came about as a rehearsal for a series of Mortal Engines-style mobile city models. Before trying my hand at actual mobile cities, I wanted to try a smaller variant consisting of only one/a couple of buildings, using some mode of propulsion. One of the main question marks was what degree of model detail would be suitable to aim for, as well as what proportions would be suitable for the intended scale (The envisioned scale for the mobile cities would be very small, with a mobile city model approximately 5 to 10 cm in diameter). The level of detail for the Cannon House ended up overshooting the target by a wide margin, which is partly why I've included a 28mm scale version of the model in this product.
It is probably important to note that the model has no moveable or customizeable parts. There is no post-print assembly required, since the entire model prints as one-piece. You won't be able to reposition the mechanical spider's legs, won't be able to add or remove flags or dormer windows, won't be able to switch out the cannon for another gun, et cetera. I realize this is a rather severe limitation, but given the complexity of the model the choice was either that, or spending an exorbitant amount of time prepping the model for customization.

Another potential issue is that the larger, 28mm scale version of the model may be difficult for you to print since it exceeds the size of most home 3d printer print areas. I've included a simple, sectioned version of the model as a workaround for this. Instead of printing the entire model as one-piece, you print each section separately and then glue them together. The sectioning is very crude but, again, it was the best I could be bothered to do given the complexity of the model.
