The Eiffel Tower with his original design in 1889.I made it with
Autodesk Inventor 2017 with the drawings of mister Gustave Eiffel.(
http://passerelles.bnf.fr/albums/tour_eiffel/index.htm )
Not all dimensions are shown on the drawings. So i made screenshots that I imported into inventor and that I scaled to have the right dimensions.
An other challenge is the size of the file. After import (i use a step
file) in 3dsmax, the file size is about 1.3 Go. After optimisation, the
size of the 3D Sudio Max file is 280Mo. I use the modifier pro optimiser
with 3D Sudio Max 2016 and the software polygon cruncher to reduce thefile.
I also put the names of the 72 scientists on the occasion of the
universal exhibition of paris in 1889.
This tower is very detailed. I made all the parts like they appear in the drawings.
