M240H 3D Model obj, stl, fbx, blend, from floppov

**M240H Machine with Helicopter Mount**

**The M240H with separate parts for a helicopter is suitable for 3D printing and use in projects.**

The M240, officially designated as the Machine, 7.62 mm, M240, is the U.S. military’s version of the FN MAG—a family of belt-fed, gas-operated medium weapons chambered for the 7.62×51mm NATO cartridge. Introduced in the late 1970s, the M240 has become a cornerstone of U.S. Armed Forces weaponry, widely used by infantry units, mounted on ground vehicles, watercraft, and aircraft alike.

Renowned for its reliability, the M240's slightly heavier weight is often outweighed by its consistent performance and the advantage of NATO standardization. All variants of the M240 are fed by disintegrating belts and can accommodate most types of 7.62 NATO ammunition. Additionally, M240 variants have the capability to be adapted for use with non-disintegrating belts, though differences in weight and specific features among versions limit part interchangeability.

Manufactured by FN America, a subsidiary of the Belgian company FN Herstal, the M240 remains a trusted weapon for U.S. forces. The M240B and M240G variants are typically operated from integrated bipods, tripods, or mounted on vehicles. The U.S. Army primarily employs the M192 lightweight ground mount for tripod use, while the U.S. Marine Corps relies on the M122A1 tripod, an updated version of the classic M2 tripod.
